What should we bring?
Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, jacket, binoculars and a camera!
Do you serve alcohol?
No, we are not licensed to serve you alcohol but you are welcome to bring white wine and adult beverages. Please note dark wines and spirits can stain our deck and floors. No large heavy coolers please. We have a cooler onboard for your use.
Will I get sea sick?
The XR7 boat is very stable and we have never had anyone get sick on board.
Should I tip?
It is always appreciated as our work does not stop when we dock. For example, we take photos and email them to you.
Is there a bathroom?
There is a head onboard. It is a little tricky to use so we advise using the public restroom prior to boarding.
Is there a refrigerator?
Yes, a small refrigerator is available. We can easily cool those adult beverages.
What kind of wildlife will we see?
At the Point we enjoy the Harbor Seal Habitat - sometimes 3 to as many as 100 seals frolicking in the water. Eagles are a frequent sighting along Pt Defiance and we view their nest in our local harbor. Great Blue Herron's are often perched on the docks or at the shore feeding. Porpoises are more likely sighted on our longer cruises. Whales, yes! On occasion we have seen humpbacks and the Orca Whales. Rare but not impossible to encounter them!!
Can I bring children?
Yes, children are welcome. For your enjoyment we recommend that they be 3 years and up. Prior arrangements will be made to ensure proper life jackets are available for the tour. Any child under the age of 12 must be suited up prior to boarding the boat.
Can I bring food?
Yes you may bring your own food. We highly recommend our fruit, cheese, salami and cracker platter as it is a delicious and a generous platter that you can easily consume as you enjoy the tour. We provide nice glasses, napkins and cork screws. We also can refrigerate beer and soft drinks so leave the cooler on shore!
